There are 3 funding streams as per below:
This is where organisations have identified a gap in industry skills and have come up with a project idea to solve the problem. This is for innovation and training and development. It must be a collaboration of either CITB registered businesses, federations or CITB Training groups and a minimum of 3 from either of them. Value of this fund is £10,000 to £500,000 and CITB fund 70% of the total cost of a project.
This is where CITB have identified the issue based on the evidence base and identified the outcomes we wish to achieve. We also set the amount of funding available for each commission. The commissions are open to the organisation that are best able to deliver the outcomes, however most will also require a collaboration that includes 2 other organisations from the 3 categories CITB Registered business, Federation or Training Group.
This is for Employers with up to 100 employees. This provides an extra incentive to small employers to deliver construction training aligned to the grants scheme with the addition of Leadership and Management Training. The funding will full fund any of the approved courses, with the grant being offset and paid on completion of the relevant courses. Amount depend on the number of PAYE employees as per below:
- Employers with 1 to 49 PAYE staff can receive up to £5,000.
- Employers with 50 to 74 PAYE staff can receive up to £7,500.
- Employers with 75 to 99 PAYE staff can receive up to £10,000.
The Employer must be registered with CITB to access this fund, but is able to once they have the CITB Reg Number
