TRAINING

Lead Welding & Bossing Training

The 5 day introduction to Lead Welding and Bossing course can be delivered at Roofbase, Cardiff and Swansea.

This is an introductory course for those with little or no experience of leadwork. It covers basic bossing and welding, the two skills most commonly used by today’s leadworkers.

Bossing is the method used to shape and form lead sheet into complex shapes and joints without leaving tool marks or causing any significant reduction in the thickness of the metal.

Welding is the alternative method for shaping lead and can also be used when sheets need to be joined together. Both methods must be achieved neatly and without compromising the weatherproofing quality of the installation.

They demand a high degree of skill and knowledge.
